Common questions
Where is my training stored, and what happens if I lose my phone?
Your training is stored on your device, and the coaching is computed there. One thing used to leave it that should not have, and it is out of the code now. It is point 4 of the privacy policy. Because your history lives on the phone, use Profile / Data & Privacy / Back Up Everything to write a backup file you keep, and Restore from Backup on a new phone. If you have never made a backup and the phone is gone, the training is gone with it.
Why does Jerry sometimes say he does not know yet?
Because he does not. He starts from population research and says so, and he moves onto your own numbers as your logged sets accumulate. He is built to say what he is unsure of rather than sound confident and be wrong.
Why does the voice sound like the standard iPhone voice?
The natural voice needs a network connection. When it cannot reach the service, the app falls back to the built-in system voice so the coaching never goes silent mid-set.
How do I stop the app sharing anything at all?
Profile / Data & Privacy turns off the daily usage summary. Cloud Answers is off unless you switched it on. Turning the spoken voice off stops the voice requests. Apple Health access is revoked in the Apple Health app. One path had no switch, the set submission described in point 4 of the privacy policy, and it was removed rather than given a toggle. The code is gone; it stops on your phone when you next update.
How do I delete everything?
Profile / Data & Privacy / Delete All Training Data, or delete the app. Both are immediate and cannot be undone, so export a backup first if you might want it later.
Privacy
What the app does and does not send is set out in full in the privacy policy.
Important
OrderedStrength is a training tool, not a medical service. Nothing in it is a diagnosis or a treatment plan. If something hurts, or you are managing an injury or a health condition, a qualified healthcare professional decides, not the app.
